About Us

Herbert Insurance Group Limited was originally formed in 1981, is New Zealand owned, and operates insurance broking houses in both New Zealand and Australia. Our team of 40 skilled staff operate from our offices in Auckland's CBD and Southport, Queensland  and are backed by our established network of "Retail Brokers" in various parts of New Zealand and Australia. Coupled with our extensive international connections, this local team truly operates globally. 

Herbert Insurance Group advises, arranges and places Commercial, Property, Liability, Financial, Motor, Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Marine, Life & Disability, Travel, Medical and Prize Indemnity insurance covers as well as Domestic and Residential Insurance. As long-time members of IBANZ and members of the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA) and with more than 27 years in the business, we have developed many connections in the international markets, including Lloyd's of London where we are accredited “Cover holders”.

Herbert Insurance Group is also a member of Insurance Brokers Network Australia (IBNA), a national company with around 85 broker members who have their own insurance facilities and unique policies to benefit clients.
